Men's thin ankle socks: what you get
Each pack has 5 or 10 pairs in the same size. For colour there are two routes:
- single colour: «5x white», «5x black», «5x navy blue», «5x dark grey» or «5x light grey» (10x in the 10-pack), every pair the same;
- mix: white, black, navy blue, charcoal and light grey, so one pair of each in the 5-pack and two of each in the 10-pack.
The mix is handy if you often change shoes and trousers: there is always a colour that matches. White and light grey go with trainers and light trousers; black, navy and dark grey with dark jeans and leather shoes. For other styles and heights, see all men's socks.
EU 38–43 or EU 43–47: which size?
The two sizes meet at 43. Up to 42 take EU 38–43; from 44 upwards take EU 43–47.
At 43 the shape of your foot and your shoe decide: a thin sock in a snug shoe works better slightly closer-fitting, so EU 38–43; if you have a wide foot or long toes, EU 43–47 gives more room.
Thin or thick socks: when you need each
A thick sock cushions the foot, but takes up room in the shoe and feels warm in summer. A thin sock:
- lets the shoe fit the way it did when you tried it on in the shop;
- feels lighter on the foot on hot days;
- is less noticeable at the edge of a low shoe.

How to wash them
Machine wash at 40 °C, inside out, no bleach, and line dry. A thin fabric suffers from dry heat more than a thick one: hanging them up is the best way to keep their stretch and shape. Wash the whites apart from the navy and black, and pair them as soon as they are dry: with five colours this close, dark grey and black are easy to mix up in the drawer.
